Overview

Salary: $101,000 - $125,000 + eligible for bonus program

 

The Project Manager, Customer Onboarding, plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth transition between Business Development and operations. The position primarily supports Business Development and branch operations to oversee the onboarding and flow of new business for Yusen Logistics. The position works closely with the branch operations, product teams, and the Sales Executives/Directors to support the full onboarding process and smooth transition to operations, as needed.

Responsibilities

· Support and serves as a liaison between Business Development (BD) members and branch operations to transition new clients.

· Serves as a point of contact for clients, internal operations, and sales team during the onboarding process for a defined length of time (dependent on the account size) after onboarding.

· Set up and lead onboard/implementation meetings with new clients, Sales, and operations.

· Ability to build and follow a project plan to ensure successful onboarding procedures.

· Ensures SOPs are developed jointly by sales and operations, and appropriately ‘signed-off’ by client, within the agreed-upon implementation project timeline.

· Ensures client onboarding to internal operating systems is completed within the agreed implementation timeline.

· Elevates any foreseen risks / issues with key deadlines to the appropriate internal client owner (operations) and key relationship owners.

· Attend and actively participate in face-to-face/off-site meetings with clients when needed or requested by Sales.

· Address customer concerns/service failures and propose resolutions to mitigate the issues including troubleshooting, feedback/follow-up throughout the defined onboarding period (dependent on the volume/account size).

· Lead follow up meetings with sales and operations to identify key issues/important points and final client information for any SOP updates prior to final onboard completion and handover to operations.

Qualifications

· 3-5 years of experience in the Contract Logistics Industry required, specifically fulfillment / pick pack operations.

· 1-3 years in an operational management role within the Contract Logistics Industry required or equivalent experience in a supply chain management sales role.

· Experience presenting to Contract Logistics customers a plus.

· PMP designation preferred.

· Previous experience in a contract logistics implementation role or a similar implementation role a plus.

· Ability to travel as needed/required.

· Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.

· Outstanding problem-solving, prioritization and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to remain professional, confident, and patient always.

· Must be able to work effectively and contribute value with limited direction.

· Ability to learn and explain Information Technology/IT platforms to clients.

· Interact and communicate with employees and customers in a professional manner.

· Project Management software (i.e., MS Project or similar).

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
