Overview

Position Summary

 

This position reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller and is located in Franklin, TN.  The Senior Financial Analyst will focus on building/implementing automation within the Corporate Accounting & Finance team, including financial reporting and assisting with month-end close.  The ideal individual will have demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Corporate Accounting by building/implementing tools to automate financial reporting and streamline month-end close (journal entries and account reconciliations).
  • Develop, implement and maintain reports to support the organization accounting function as required.
  • Lead or assist on special projects as assigned.
  • Analyze and coordinate consolidation process for YLA subsidiaries.
  • Collaborate in monthly analysis of results queries.
  • Review monthly financial reports and identify reasons for variances.
  • Analyze trends in accounting/financial data and make recommendations to capitalize on positive trends or reverse negative trends.
  • Support groups/divisions in improving quality of financial data.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.
  • Trend analysis of corporate overhead expenses and investigate fluctuations.
  • Assist in month-end close with journal entries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, compliance or other related field.
  • Strong Excel skills are required. Working knowledge of operational ERP systems required.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 financial application & Workday Office Connect is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Power BI is highly desirable.

  • Use a computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and work schedule using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint) software.
  • Review and analyze data and information concerning the operating results.
  • Plan, prioritize and monitor key performance indicators/activities.
  • Complete [or oversee the completion of ] assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
