Overview

Salary Range: $214,674-$360,772

 

We are seeking a dynamic, organized executive to oversee key business function groups as its Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).  As a key member of the U.S. Executive Management team, the CAO will be responsible for delivering business function services to the logistics business units with a strong focus on risk management protocols.  The CAO will lead important business function specialty areas, including asset management (real estate), risk mitigation (insurance and governance controls), and national administrative services programs.  The role also includes oversight of the legal, quality and regulatory teams with an emphasis on executing strategic initiatives to drive change.    The position requires strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as working experience in business management of logistics operations

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage core business function services including real estate asset portfolio management, insurance procurement and claims process and general administration of business services for US headquarters. 
  • Manage key resources in Legal, Quality and Governance groups to properly escalate risk factors to Executive Management, propose mitigation measures and execute strategic initiatives to promote business continuity and strong governance.
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures that align with company objectives.  Experience in leadership role on M&A transactions, including corporate planning for post-integration is a plus.

  • Execute change management initiatives centralizing roles under US headquarters creating greater efficiencies in SGA and operational support.

  • Establish performance metrics and ensure accountability across departments.

  • Collaborate with the CEO, CFO and executive team to set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.

  • Lead Risk Management and Communication strategy for US operations for Business Ethics, Compliance and Governance program.
  •  
  • Manage strong alignment and communication with global matrix reporting teams to assure proper cascading of global initiatives.

  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, and resource allocation for all departments falling under the CAO’s direction.

  • Drive organizational culture, promoting high performance, integrity, and innovation.
  •  
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and initiatives to improve productivity.
  •  
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with employees, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  •  
  • Support risk management activities by identifying and mitigating potential risks to the organization.
  •  
  • Serve as US Chief Compliance Officer and liaison to global business ethics team for Americas region.
  •  
  • Undertake those duties and initiatives assigned by the CEO.

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with a problem-solving mindset. Must be able to influence change through collaboration.
• Business leadership experience in global logistics or supply chain services.
• Experience in the development of risk analysis, including financial risk factors, and strategic programs for risk mitigation.
• Strong judgment / decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated success in project management.
• Demonstrated abilities in strategic planning and successful leadership in matrix reporting structure.
• Preferred MBA or Legal degree with 15+ years of corporate leadership experience.

Travel required 10-15%
