Salary

$47,644 - $79,141 + eligible for bonus program

The Operations Support Analyst is responsible for providing performance and cost analysis for Warehouse Division supplier spend business segments including Temporary Labor, Material Handling Equipment, Warehouse consumables, Office Supplies, Janitorial, Security, Facilities R&M, and others. This business analysis will be used to evaluate overall performance and cost compared to other providers and each geographic market.

 

These duties require close cooperation and communication with Critical Yusen Suppliers (Vendors), WH Division Key Mgt. Operations, and related support departments in LB and throughout the United States. Specific areas of analysis will include Key Performance Indicator data for Temporary Agency performance, evaluation, detailed analysis of Material Handling Equipment Operating Expenses and lease/buy options, and a full range of supplier performance metrics and P&L expense comparisons to drive Division expenses down while improving service to Operations and Customers. This position will require some training in and understanding of Warehouse Operations and the tools required to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and increase service to Yusen customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, coordinate, maintain, and analyze Supplier Spend and Savings Data
  • Collect, coordinate, maintain, and analyze Temporary AIP KPI Metrics
  • Collect, coordinate, and maintain, and analyze Material Handling Equipment expenses, reporting, and validate to Yusen asset listing.
  • Support specific Business Development pricing inquiries
  • Collect, coordinate, maintain, and analyze ISO 14001 Key Environmental Aspects
  • Provide Analysis and costing options for specific WH Division facility projects, start-ups, peak season requirements

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree (with related business experience) within Accounting, Business, Logistics, or related field of study together with 2 years’ work experience in Operations, Administration, or related Logistics position.
  • Language Skills: Good verbal communication and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization. Should have the ability to gather data and information from a variety of sources, as well as present data effectively within a presentation and meeting format.
  • Computer Skills: Must have working knowledge of Windows Office Suite and high proficiency with personal computer spreadsheets (Excel) is required. Experience working with JDE and ability to analyze and provide expense analysis is required.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and work independently. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
